Where it all began...

1940's

Ensign films is a heritage brand dating back to the turn of the last century and it was involved in the film industry, movie production, film stock, cameras, magic lanterns and more. Run by a handful of grumpy edwardian men up to the fateful blitz of 1940, it was based upon a love of entertainment and a passion for the technologies of the day, even if they were clockwork..

Today

Likewise, Ensign now is run by grumpy non-edwardian men with decades of experience in film, TV, Radio, scripting and copywriting. Plus, we don’t mind winding things up.

We have TV shows, a movie or two and some great creative thinking going on.

So, we’re quite happy really.
